Gramofon

A native macOS player for the indie music web.

A SwiftUI app that unifies Bandcamp, Jamendo, Radio4000, Internet Archive, Discogs, MusicBrainz and ListenBrainz into one player and library — explicitly not a Spotify or Apple Music client. Includes a full multi-band IIR EQ for speaker, headphone and room correction profiles.

Background

Most music apps lock you into a single catalogue. Gramofon connects only to open, independent and community-driven platforms and gives you a single SwiftUI interface to discover, queue, favourite and organise music across all of them, with a SwiftData library, dual-backend playback (AVPlayer + a hidden YouTube WebView for Radio4000) and a tasteful now-playing panel with an animated frequency visualiser. Built in is a full IIR biquad chain so you can load speaker calibration files, headphone EQ presets (AutoEQ-style) or room-correction profiles and have them applied transparently to every backend.
